I was first introduced to yoga years ago when I took a class designed for people with fibromyalgia. The course was called Fibroga, created and taught by Karen Grove, and I am forever grateful to her for starting me on this journey.

Over time, I developed a routine I call Mindful Stretching and Yoga* that integrates breath with movement and flows like a vinyasa. I included things I learned from yoga instructors, physical therapists, and spiritual advisors. I want to thank Loni and Cindy in particular.
This practice became part of my daily routine, helping me manage some of the symptoms associated with fibromyalgia. When a group of seniors in the retirement community where I live asked for a volunteer to lead a weekly yoga session, I felt called to share what had helped me. In doing so, I discovered how beneficial Mindful Stretching and Yoga* can be for seniors and for anyone seeking gentle, restorative movement.
Videos of the routine are available on my YouTube channel, featuring 432Hz background music by Electraluminous, composed specifically for Mindful Stretching and Yoga. The introductory video demonstrates each movement and includes commentary for beginners to follow along at their own pace.
*Participants should consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program. Individuals are responsible for choosing and taking suitable modifications and should never attempt movements that are too difficult or feel uncomfortable. Our routine combines gentle stretching, posture awareness, and relaxation techniques intended to improve flexibility, ease tension, and calm the mind.
